Rotarians are involved in a considerable number of community projects.  The Rotary Club of Whanganui North assists local schools and community groups with their projects or helps to fund deserving exploits which would otherwise prove difficult to achieve.

Tonga Medical Project

Tonga Project 1, to upgrade  orthopaedic services at Vaiola Hospital, Nuku’alofa,Tonga. Commenced January 2022 and due to end December 2024.

 

 Tonga Project 2, to upgrade the two operating theatres at Vaiola Hospital in 2024 and following the upgrade carry out hip and knee replacement surgery in the two upgraded operating theatres in 2025 and 2026.
